The sixteenth and seventeenth Guides in the LINks Guide series are now available.
Guide 16 - ‘Community development’ is designed to help people involved with LINks understand how LINks can contribute to community development around health and well-being. The guide has been developed in collaboration with the NHS Alliance and the Community Development Foundation.
Guide 17 - ‘LINks and Overview and Scrutiny Committees working together’ aims to clarify the
roles of Overview and Scrutiny Committees (OSCs) and Local Involvement LINks within the
framework for patient, service user and public engagement in health and social care and to
provide advice for OSCs and LINks that develops their understanding of their respective and
distinct roles, suggesting ways of joint working as a means of maximising their contribution to
public accountability of health and social care.
