National Smile Month 2010

National Smile Month takes place from May 16 to June 16, under the slogan Teeth4Life. Organised by the British Dental Health Foundation, this year's campaign will focus on the importance of looking after teeth and maintaining them for life.

September is Oral Health Month

Colgate Oral Health Month is a UK-wide initiative run by Colgate in partnership with the British Dental Association (BDA). Now in its seventh year, the aim is to educate the public about the importance of oral health and to promote communication between dental professionals and patients. The 2009 campaign is focusing on the theme of delivering prevention in practice

The NHS BSA Dental Services Division is to become NHS Dental Services

As from 5 December, the NHS BSA Dental Services Division (DSD) is to be known as NHS Dental Services. A new website address also takes effect on this date: www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/dental (live 5th December).

Salaried Primary Dental Care Services Contract (SPDCS) Toolkit

Following the three recent implementation learning events, a comprehensive salaried services implementation toolkit has been published on the PCC website. Taking the form of a step-by-step guide, it advises PCTs on the seven key steps required prior to April 2008, and also those beyond. The toolkit can be accessed here.
