The Mental Capacity Act 2005 provides a statutory framework to empower and protect vulnerable people who may not be able to make their own decisions.
Making the right decision on someone's behalf is a serious responsibility, so SCIE and the Department of Health have funded a range of materials that will support family, carers and health and social care professionals required to make these decisions.
