Hospital Performance Simulation Project
Murat Guna, from Lancaster University, would like to draw your attention to a Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project which he is engaged in. It is a “Hospital Performance Simulation” project. This is about a computer simulation model which can be used by hospital managers for evaluating alternative scenarios for achieving better waiting time related performance (eg. 18 weeks target). The models have been evaluated and developed using 3 Trusts' data, but none of the findings is yet implemented. For more information about the project please visit website: www.hospitalsimulation.info. The project team are looking for 2 or 3 NHS Trust collaborators who can work with them to explore the impacts that the simulation models can provide. Murat would also welcome your feedback on the tool. If you are interested in becoming a collaborator or would like to provide your feedback please contact Murat by phone: (+44) 1524 593464 or email: M.Gunal@lancaster.ac.uk.
